The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular dive program in the world! This is your ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure. Throughout the 4-day course, you'll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course can be completed in two days with 5 adventure dives. A Deep dive & Navigation dive are the two core dives of the course, plus you can choose the other 3 remaining dives among the numerous specialties offered by PADI such as Photo, Night Naturalist, Multilevel and many more.
The PADI MFA course is a necessary requirement to complete your rescue training and is a one-day program designed to develop resuscitation and first aid skills.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to help you develop your knowledge and skills to effectively perform diver rescues and administer First Aid for Dive related injuries. The course can be completed in as little as three days and is divided into two parts, Knowledge Development and Openwater training.
The PADI Divemaster Course is a comprehensive internship-training program that helps to shape your skills and attitudes, preparing you to work in the Dive Industry. As a certified PADI Divemaster you'll be able to supervise diving activities for certified divers, assist instructors with training students, Conduct the Scuba Review program and teach skin diving and snorkeling. The Divemaster rating is also a prerequisite for PADI Instructor training and is your ticket into the PADI Instructor Development Course or PADI Assistant Instructor Course.
To be certified as a PADI Divemaster you will need to have 60-logged.
The PADI Assistant Instructor Course is a further step toward becoming an experienced diving educator. It will make your transition from Dive Leader to Instructor a much smoother and stress free transition and is the best preparation for the PADI Instructor Development Course.
As a certified PADI Assistant Instructor you will be able conduct the knowledge Development portion of PADI courses, Conduct the PADI Discover Scuba Experience and teach the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Diver Course.
To enroll in the PADI Assistant Instructor Course you will need to have 60-logged Dives and be certified as a PADI Divemaster.
Prior to the IDC, we offer a 3 day course designed to help candidates refresh their dive theory and sharpen their pool and rescue skill demonstrations. The IDC Prep Course is a great way to prepare yourself for the upcoming IDC program and get yourself into the learning mode. This course gives candidates the chance to meet the Course Director and Staff before the IDC begins, and to familiarize yourself with the onsite facilities.
The PADI Instructor Development Course is a 10-day training program, which will teach you how to instruct recreational diving using the complete PADI system. You will need to meet specific performance requirements in order to pass the IDC. On successful completion of the program you will be awarded an IDC completion form, which is your passport to the PADI Instructor Examination To enroll in the PADI Instructor Development Course you will need to have 60-logged Dives and be certified as a PADI Divemaster or PADI Assistant Instructor

To qualify for certification as a PADI Instructor, you must first pass the PADI Instructor Examination, which is conducted by a professional Instructor Examiner from PADI HQ, which ensures a fair and objective assessment. Generally to enroll in the Instructor exam you must have been a certified diver for at least 6 months and have 100 logged dives.

However since Samui International Diving School is a PADI Career Development Center you can participate in the IE prior to meeting the experience requirement of 100 dives, when enrolled in five of our pre-and/or post-IDC courses. Candidates who successfully complete a PADI IDC conducted by a PADI Career Development Center may attend a PADI IE if they have been certified divers for at least six months, have logged at least 60 dives and are certified PADI Assistant Instructors. Certification as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor will take place when the 100 dives requirement has been met.
